Finds! Tassel belts and crotchet-detail boots.
(Still blogging from iPhone sadly)
I was out today with Patty-cake, main event being my new tattoo! (pictures when it isn't so red), but I did pick up a new pocket watch for my collection. 24$ at The Black Market
Anyhow, this is very, VERY exciting: braided tassel belts in black or brown...for only 6.95$ each at H&M! They're listed as "one size", which will work if you want to simply tie it around your waist once, but if you're over size medium, you probably won't be able to double it.
Lastly, I bought these boots from Aldo probably a week ago? They have a concealed heel and great crotchet detailing around the top. I also love the bow! I bought the black, but they also come in a cream that would be beautiful with Cult Party.
That's it for today, I've been making jewelry still but I've been hesitating to post them because of my lack of computer/tiny pictures with this blog app. I might anyhow though, I'm dying to share them! Tattoo pictures in the next few days as well :) Still as active as ever on Tumblr though!

Thank-you!
Blogging without my computer is driving me crazy (uuuugh the tiny pictures from this blogging app). But I wanted to say a quick "thanks!" for the over 40 followers and almost 7000 page views on my humble little blog. And! Thanks to the over 300 followers on my Tumblr (I can't believe it!). Thanks so much everyone!
(And I've decided that I'm going to do a give-a-way when I reach over 50 :) )

Japan
Japan has given us so much in terms of culture and fashion, music and technology.
All at once they've been thrown with a 9.0 scale earthquake (the worst in Japan history, one of the worst in world history), which spurred a devastating tsunami, hundreds of aftershocks, nuclear meltdown and now a volcanic eruption at Shinmodake. It's going to take at least a generation for them to recovery.
To donate 10$ to the Red Cross relief effort, you can text REDCROSS to 30333 (in Canada), 90999 for the US. You can also make donations though the Apple iTunes store.

I also encourage you to take a look at the eerie scene of abandonment in Harajuku and Shibuya, documented by TokyoFashion.com

A delightful afternoon of friends and finds!
Wednesday was a beautiful and sunny afternoon, so I made the most of it. Before leaving work, I took a peek into Claire's, and found a matching brooch to a necklace I had purchased there about a month ago. (crap pictures because I'm still doing this from an iPhone app)
I took the bus downtown to meet up with two of my friends, but I was really, really early, so I took a little walk through the commons and down to St. Patrick's Cemetary. I love St. Patrick's for a couple reasons: it's hidden, no one else is ever there. It has a beautiful view of the harbour. And the gravestones are old and have that nice weathered look to them. I want to do rubbings of them someday.
After that I strolled over to "Two if by Sea" to meet my friends. Two if by Sea is a fancy bakery and cafe which I had continuously heard great things about, but had never had the chance to visit. And I have to say, it lived up to the hype. I ordered a cafe latte and a croissant de chocolat, and they were so delicious! I will definitely be going back.
Onwards from there, we took a trip down to Value Village to see what strange things they had around. I found some antique spoons to add to my collection!
The last two have dogs on them. And I love how the second spoon on the top has detailing right in the "scoop". I have so many spoons now, I might start selling some of the ones I've made into jewelry, we'll see. Hope anyone reading this had a great Wednesday as well!

Finds: Deer ring and brooch, antique-look ring at D-tox
Sorry for the awful pictures, still doing this with an iPhone app.
This was actually a pretty great find at D-tox, and very unexpected. A huge deer skull ring, deer and bow brooch, a a really cute antique-look mirror ring.
The deer ring was 9.99$, brooch 12.00$, and mirror ring 9.99$. They have a promotion on right now so I was able to purchase them for 3 for 25$.
