A Little Haul ~

Hello again everyone! I'm sitting alone on a lovely sunny day off, listening to Lana Del Ray and contemplating if she's actually good or if we're all being tricked somehow (the jury is still out on this one). I took these pictures of a delightful little "haul" I made on Friday (and then promptly forgot I had taken pictures of), and ol' Lana reminded me somehow (hehe). So:

I finally found a pair of rainboots that will work with my dolly kei and lolita coords! I got them at Winners for only 29.99$, the brand is "Capelli Newyork".

I finally got my hands on a bird Skull necklace, and for such a great price. I bought this one from Fashionably Dead, a local gothy and punk shop, for only 22.99$. I've worn this every day since I bought it!

Also from Fashionably Dead, finally got a double cross ring. It was only 7.99$, and it's adjustable.

For only 5.95$, I bought this great (and super long) necklace from H&M. It's going to be great for layering.

Also from H&M, such a cute beaded peter pan collar necklace! I think these collar necklaces are just so cute, and a great way to dress up simpler dresses and tops.

These were sort of a strange/very unexpected find. I was in my local Pharmasave to use the ATM, and saw these out of the corner of my eye. Doll compact mirrors??? Even better, when you move them back and forth, they appear to blink! I'm keeping one for myself, and one will be in a giveaway. I haven't decided which yet though!

Lastly, I am a huge fan of nail polish strips. And now they have them with writing on them. Too adorable. And only 10.99$.

Has anyone found anything really great lately? Or found something great in a really strange place?...What are your thoughts on Lana Del Ray? (Hahaha.).

March Wishlist

I haven't done a "Wishlist" (aka things I'll probably be getting) post in a while, so here's what I've been eyeing lately:

Lace shorts! I don't wear pants, but I think I can do a cute pair of lace shorts. I think they'd be really cute with a printed or opacity tight, and the vintage feel would be right at home in dolly kei (or this black forest mori I've been looking into...).

A giant cross connector ring. They look scary, therefore I want one. Disaya Teddy Bear Necklace? They seem to be sold out everywhere *sigh*. Vivienne Westwood Skull Bead Necklace...also seem to be sold out everywhere *giant drawn out dramatic sigh*.

Juliette et Justine...cat jsk??? What is this beautiful madness? I'm not sure, but my heart and mind are screaming YES, and I'm not going to argue. Lastly, Jeffrey Campbell "Night Walks" in velvet. These are just so perfectly strange looking. I probably will fall over and die, but I'll have a smile on my face.

What has everyone been looking at adding to your wardrobes lately?

Inexpensive Necklace Finds

Hello everyone, just a little post with a couple of cute finds from this week:

Both necklaces from H&M, both 6.95$ (Can).

What's nice about both the apple and the bow necklace (aside from the price, and aside from they are so cute and versatile), is that they're a good length. They'll make great layering pieces.

Verum Tights Update & a Great Find! Crown and Badge Salvage Co.

Firstly: Verum tights are finally available on the Grimoire Online Shop! Grimoire still only ships within Japan, so you will need a shopping service to snag yourself a pair. Grab the ones you want while you can, I've noticed that they seem to sell out almost as soon as they restock.

And today I just happened to come across an amazing jewelry brand called "Crown & Badge Salvage Co.". Each piece is made from unique (and often antique) items the designer, Tina Daunt, finds. As a result, no two pieces are ever the same. Click HERE for the Crown & Badge website. I find her pieces so inspiring and beautiful, I really hope you take a look!

November Wishlist!

Just some random smatterings of things I'm lusting after for November :)

Cat tapestry boots! From Jeffrey Campbell! I NEED THESE TO BE COMPLETE. But seriously, these are amazing.

Skate Boots, also from Jeffrey Campbell. Wooden scrollwork soles? I have died and gone to heaven.

This amazing bag from ModCloth.com

This to me is the perfect "little black dress". Empire waist, Peter pan collar and the right length. So cute! From Syrup, photo from Wonder Land blog.

Also from Syrup, also from the Wonder Land blog, these tights are gorgeous!

I love everything about this.

Oh Innocent World, I'm officially selling my soul to you to get the darker colour-way.

What items are you fawning over for November?

My Wishlist for Autumn

Carousing the internet the past couple of days, I've stumbled upon some items I need to add to my autumn wardrobe.

Until I saw this photograph, I had no idea I needed one of these furry bear ear hats. In fact, I thought they were a bit much. HOWEVER! Now that I see one matched with beautiful prints and lovely soft make-up, I NEED one.

Crystal point pendants. In the blue and green shades. I think these tend to get associated with wiccans and hipsters, but I want these (and don't care! CRYSTAL POINT NECKLACES ARE COOL *said in the 11th Doctor's voice*).

Ditto for the rings.

Red rocking horse shoes. Because only owning black ones just isn't cutting it for me. And I think red is great!

Wedge maryjane loafers. In green or brown. Because just look at them!!!!

Tapestry boots (these are by Poetic Liscence). These need no explaining! Imagine them with some patterned tights (or black lace tights!) and a flowy dress!

Nars "Outremer" eyeshadow. How will I make this crazy blue eyeshadow work? I have no idea. But something in me neeeeeeds it!

What are you lusting after for your fall wardrobe?

Finds! Dolly-able finds from H&M

Three great finds in H&M today!

Firstly, these oxfords. Anyone who follows my blog or my Tumblr knows of my love affair with oxford-style shoes. I've never had a brown pair though! However, that is now corrected with these vintage-looking fellas from H&M. They look old, the brown is perfect, and they have great detailing. They're not leather but they easily pass for it. Comfy too!

39.95$ Canadian

Secondly, this bag. Again, I love the vintage and worn look it has, and it's big! It has three interior pockets: a zippered one, one for your mobile phone and another just big open one. Again, also really looks like leather.

The lining. Has horses. LOVE.

39.95$ Canadian

Lastly, a faux pocket watch necklace. Not amazing, but I love the domed top. I'll be adding some things to it to make it more interesting.

12.95$ Canadian

I was so excited to get these since lately I haven't been really finding dolly-able things at "regular" stores. I also think they'll work great with the Classic Lolita wardrobe I'm working on, and would also be nice for all you Mori Girls and Boys out there :)

Innocent World Antique Book Bag/ Tokyo Rebel review

The Innocent World Antique Book bags have been on my list of "dream items" since they were first released in their original size. Sadly, they were sold out, along with subsequent re-releases, before I could ever get one.

It almost happened to me again with the release of their new colour "Cafe Au Lait", until I saw that the bag was available at TokyoRebel.com!

I placed my order on the 7th, and received confirmation right away. The next day they shipped it out, and sent me my shipping confirmation and tracking number. I received my bag on the 20th. Which might seem like a long time for EMS, but it was held at Canada customs for most of that time period, and wasn't Tokyo Rebel's fault.

The package arrived in perfect condition, very securely packed. (I forgot to take pictures of the packing, I was too excited to open it!).

Yay brand shopping bag! I love that they wrapped it in one!

This put me officially in love with Tokyo Rebel. A hand-written thank-you card. Little curtesy details are so lovely :)

So the actual purse:

It's absolutely beautiful, and really looks like an antique book. I was originally concerned about the colour and whether or not it would match my Lolita wardrobe. No problem though! It suits my Dolly Kei wardrobe to a t, and will go great with the classic wardrobe I've been working on.

The details are all lovely!

The bag is also a really good size and is good for everyday use.

Along with the zippered outside pocket, there is also another on the inside along with another that is ideal for your cellphone.

All this will fit inside with room to spare! As you can see, it also comes with an adjustable shoulder strap.

All in all, I'm very happy with both the bag and Tokyo Rebel's service. I'll definitely be ordering from them again :)
